Mysterious eternity – Imperial past and pulsating present! India’s capital Delhi, a product of over 5000 yrs history, houses two World Heritage sites and the finest museums. Shops offer traditional and contemporary handicrafts. Its plethora of fine dining restaurants and a throbbing nightlife add zest to this historical city.


Visit the imposing Red Fort and impressive Humayuns Tomb, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Lotus Temple, Laxminarayan Temple; ISKCON Temple; explore Chandini Chowk, the Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat; Parliament Street, Parliament Museum, Lodhi Gardens; National Museum, Bangla Sahib; enjoy views of Delhi best on a Metro journey; experience a plenitude of cultural and ethnic diversity at the colorful „Dilli Haat‟, an open-air food plaza cum craft bazaar.

Unravel the sheer charm of white marble! Layers of history are peeled away to reveal an amazing tapestry of life, for hiding behind the heat and chaos is a stunning monument etched in cool white marble…the wonder that is called the Taj Mahal; a World Heritage site, an architectural marvel and a testimony of undying love.


Explore Agra..the former capital of Hindustan, located on the banks of the river Yamuna. Agra is best known the world over as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its 3 grandiose monuments – Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Visit the sublime white marbled mausoleum of theTaj Mahal..at sunrise and sunset; see the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah; admire the magnificent Agra Fort and the Akbar Mausoleum in Sikandra. Enjoy a decorated tonga ride (a horse drawn carriage, popular in olden days) through the fabled city.

Day 4 - 6

Drive from Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (250 km, 5 hrs)

The ‘eternal Pink city’ Enclosed within hills, this ‘rose pink’ city founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, is Rajasthan’s capital. The whole city was painted pink by Man Singh when the Prince of Wales and later Edward VII, visited Jaipur in 1876. Today, every home is obliged by law to maintain this façade.


Fatehpur Sikri Day Trip on the way to Jaipur: Visit the timeless UNESCO world heritage site on a day trip to Fatehpur Sikri (City of Victory). This complex of monuments and temples was built in the 16th century by Emperor Akbar during the Mughal era, also considered the richest period of Indian history. Admire the uniform architectural style and visit the elegant and sacred Jama Masjid or the Friday Mosque. Marvel at the Buland Darwaza, the main entrance to this ancient city and spend some time exploring the Tomb of Shaikh Salim Chisti, Birbal Bhawan (dedicated to Akbar’s greatest court advisor – Birbal), the inner courts where Jodha Bai stayed and the inner harem reserved for Hindu wives.

City Highlights in Jaipur: Explore the Amber Fort, the Albert Hall, City Palace, the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal) and the world‟s largest stone observatory – the Jantar Mantar. See the Govind Devji Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, the Lakshmi Narayan and Ganesh Temples; visit the amazing Jaigarh and Nahargarh Forts and Raj Mandir Cinema.

Udaipur (3 nights)

Drive from Jaipur to Udaipur (450 km, 6 hrs)

The inimitable Lake city! Unlike its desert counterparts, Udaipur is situated in the forested hilly region of the Aravalli Ranges; in complete contrast to the arid deserts of Marwar in the northwest. Tucked away in the midst of hills, the city is an impregnable citadel, with an impressive royal lineage stretching back 26 generations. A do-or-die attitude and a fierce sense of independence characterize Udaipur.


In Udaipur, embark on a tour of this lovely city which will include the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and a boat ride on scenic Lake Pichola. Take a trip to Haldighati in the Aravalli hills (40km); visit the Eklingji Shiva temple near Devigarh; explore the impressive temple ruins at Nagda (22 km).



Bangalore (1 night)

Day 9 - 10

Flight from Udaipur to Bangalore via Mumbai

India’s answer to ‘Silicon Valley!’ Formerly a ‘pensioners paradise’, Bangalore is now known as India’s ‘Silicon Valley’ and the ‘Garden City’. One of the world’s fastest growing cities, it boasts charming gardens, tree-lined avenues, large parks, designer malls and houses some of India’s largest software and IT parks.


Explore Bangalore’s most famous landmarks – the Bull Temple, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore Palace, Electronic City, the Vishwesharaiya Museum, Tipu Sultan’s Fort and Palace. Enroute Mysore visit Channapattana, Sangama. Tour of the Government Museum, the stunning ISKCON Temple (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) and the very scenic Mekedatu.

Male (5 nights)

Flight from Bangalore to Male

One of the smallest capitals in the world, Male is a quaint, small and densely populated city. Though not a spectacular city, Male is very clean, several skyscrapers dot the sky line, a maze of small streets take you to bustling market places and mosques. Male has a sleepy and unique charm of its own. The President_ s home, the Mulee Male, was built in 1913 as a center for political activity. The city_ s Hukuru Misikiy (Friday Mosque) was built in 1656 and is a testimonial to Maldives’s defining Islamic heritage.
