Ladakh This is the furthest and least inhabited region of India. The majestic snow-covered peaks, jagged valleys and green oasis make it a fascinating landscape that never fails to hypnotize travelers. Sikkim This is a cycloramic region of rolling hills and valleys, turquoise seas and rapid rivers. It is a wonderland with apple orchards and orange groves, birds, butterflies and beautiful orchids. Bamboo, oak and pine forests thrive between gentle rippling rivulets, rice terraces and countless types of rhododendrons. Deep inside Sikkim are its most famous monasteries and temple complexes. Its capital Gangtok is ideally suited as a base for trekking tours.

Uttaranchal is a virtual paradise for adventure sports such as white-water rafting and wildlife safaris. The astounding landscape offers stunning views with numerous rivers coursing through the undulating hills and gentle meadows…the most famous of them being the Holy Ganges.

Assam - “The Land of Golden Gardens ”. On the highlands of Assam in the north-east of India, is the single largest contiguous tea plantation in the world. The tropical climate, lots of sunshine and high humidity on the rolling hills give the world famous tea from here its special flavor. 

Nepal - Nine out of ten of the highest peaks in the world are found here in this Mountain Kingdom, including the famed Mount Everest with a height of 26,247 feet above sea level. Deciduous forests, bamboo clusters, rhododendron and coniferous forests transform with changing altitude, marking the characteristic landscape, with almost no vegetation above 11,811 feet. Tigers, leopards, deer and elephants inhabit the lower more tropical part of the country while wild goats, wild sheep and wolves can be found in the higher regions. 

Bhutan This ‘Land of the Thunder Dragon’, is slowly opening up for western tourists, though only five to six thousand foreigners are allowed to visit the country every year. Appealing to all senses, it is a fascinating land with friendly people and a natural beauty that is grand and as yet largely unspoilt; a land of snow-covered mountains, lush forests and fertile valleys; of rice fields and fruit orchards, tiny villages and lively market centres and wild jungles in the south.
