I recently traveled to India for the first time and arranged my travel through Enchanting-India.  The whole experience was wonderful.  The person with whom I arranged my itinerary (Kavya) was flexible and accommodating and created an itinerary that met my wishes despite a very tight schedule.  She selected hotels that were exceptional and offered not only wonderfully comfortable accommodations, but also provided wonderful experiences.

My contact in India was also wonderful.  On arriving in India after almost 24 hours of travel, I was unable to make my domestic air connection.  She quickly arranged a driver for me who was able to take me from Delhi to Jaipur in time for an afternoon of sightseeing there.

The guides provided by Enchanting India were all knowledgeable and helpful - my first guide, for example, helped me to buy a local phone.  It was later necessary to reactivate my phone service - my last guide helped me to get this sorted out.

I hope to return to India in the near future and plan to arrange my travel once again with Enchanting India!

From the moment that I saw their advertisement on the Web I was hoping for something special and I was not disappointed. My two teenage daughters and I were planning a holiday of a lifetime in India and I didn’t know where to start. Once in contact with Enchanting-India I was given various itineraries, which were then discussed, changed and discussed and changed again until we had the perfect one for us. On arrival in Delhi, our Travel Manager for the first stage met us at the airport. She was a delight and made our time in Delhi interesting, easy and entertaining. We shopped until we dropped, saw sights and monuments and even had a wonderful afternoon of Bollywood cinema!

I recently visited India with my husband Jason Bogie, using Enchanting India and I wanted to send you a heartfelt note of thanks for helping to make our trip so wonderful.

Everything went very smoothly, and we felt we were being looked after every step of the way. As a result of the trip, we have fallen in love with India – the beautiful people, amazing colours, detailed artwork, incredible history and historic buildings, hypnotic music, delicious food, wealth of wildlife, the rural scenes, the summer heat and so much more. As it turned out Enchanting India gave us a holiday that exceeded them at every hotel, at every city, at every fort, at every market......They take time to understand exactly what you like doing, where you like staying and what you like seeing. Overall we were extremely pleased with the Enchanting India services and our trip.  We learned that in India many things don’t go as planned yet in every city and at every site your folks delivered.  This was greatly appreciated. 
 
The guides were excellent.  They were very knowledgeable about their city, the history the monuments etc.  They were friendly and articulate.  Lynn and I enjoyed them greatly.  The best was the guide in Varanasi.  What made him so much better was he listened to our conversations and customized the activities directly to this.  For example we spoke about spiritual guides with a number of the guides with interest.  The Varanasi guide recognized this and set up an astrological reading with a very credible practioner.  Same with aroma therapy and brocade weavings.  Our guide in Delhi did a similar customization in the red fort after he learned that Lynn was an Interior Designer.  He gave us a much more detailed tour than he said he normally does.  The guides  provided a great amount of detailed knowledge and our trip was much richer thanks to them.

The hotels were excellent overall.  Winderemere was spectacular.  Exactly as we hoped. The hotel in Jaipur was beyond expectations.  It was gorgeous, staff were helpful and overall a brilliant experience.  The hotel in Udaipur was in the middle.  As stunning place! gorgeous room! staff committed to being helpful (though not brilliant at delivering).  Food was acceptable.  It was as indicated well out of town.
 
Overall we had a great trip.  We have already recommended Enchanting India to some of our friends.  I was truly impressed that all of the arrangements worked as planned with absolutely no glitches.
 

My wife and I were in India for our 10th anniversary.  We had spent a considerable time researching the location and through that we found Enchanting India on the internet.
 
Our experience overall was fantastic.  The trip was very well organized.  The pre-trip coordination was excellent (our coordinator was Ranjana) and we could not say enough good things about her.  She was extremely patient with our requests for information.  We had originally intended to go to the Maldives and India and at the last minute changed to spend more time in India itself.  Despite all of the time Ranjana had put into this leg of the trip, she seamlessly reorganized and developed a new itinerary.  She offered very useful information on locations, hotels, and different experiences we should try.  Overall, we were impressed with the personal attention that was given to our particular interests.  At no point did we feel that we were being parceled along on a packaged trip.
 
After an 18 journey from Canada to Delhi we were greeted at the terminal by an Enchanting India tour coordinator. He whisked us and our bags off to our hotel while we enjoyed cold bottled water that he had for us in the vehicle.  It was great (around 36C when we landed!).  This was repeated everywhere we went.
 
We found each tour guide to be excellent.  As with Enchanting India overall, they were very focused on what we were interested in.  Our driver and guide would take us anywhere we wanted – and always with a smile.  They were extremely knowledgeable.  Many were university professors.  It was clear that they we requested to be very client oriented.  Even without requesting they would try to find what we were most interested in and then would do everything possible to focus on that area.  In Shimla (where we were for 3 days), for example, we had mentioned that we liked to hike.  The next day our guide had arranged a packed lunch through our hotel and took us on a 5 hour hike….it was one of the highlights of our trip.  He had an unbelievable knowledge of the area.  We also had a great experience in Jaipur.  We wanted to buy an Indian Rug for our home.  If you haven’t been to India before … you’ll find the experience of negotiating to buy something great.  Our guide took us to a number of different spots and actively assisted (at our request) in negotiating the price.  We had settled on an amount and he told us discretely that we could do better!... and we did.  They were all, without exception, very nice people.
 
We spent a lot of time traveling from one destination to another.  We always felt safe and well looked after. Our guide/coordinator would literally take us to our seats (whether plan, train, car) to make sure we were comfortable and settled in.  This was great in a place like Delhi were we went by train to Shimla.  The train station was a sea of humanity!  Our guide arranged to have our bags taken and literally walked us through the station and on to the train to our seats, where he arranged for some water and juice for us.  He stayed at the platform for 20 minutes until our train left!
 

We had the best time with Enchanting-India; their people are excellent from booking to inner travel in India. We felt very safe and confident with them, they came to pick up and drop off at all the airports on time, did all the paperwork and passport handling very efficiently, and the itinerary was very personal, private and customized. They were always on time and their guides were the best!

We felt that we were well looked-after, and that was important to us in traveling to what can seem like a chaotic and overwhelming country. We always felt comfortable and safe. The opportunity to plan our own trip in detail -- where we wanted to go, how fast, and what we wanted to do when we got there -- meant that the trip truly meant our needs.

We're back home now and still dreaming of our wonderful trip in Rajasthan and Rishikesh. We have traveled all over the world and really, Rajasthan is superb; a unique rich cultural heritage from the Moguls, Rajput and other cultures. The choices of hotels go from typical Indian Havelis to outstanding Oberoi standards.

But what we really appreciated the most is that you and the Enchanting-India team organized a perfect balanced trip: we had the opportunity to meet a lot of local people, including our guide, so that we could start to understand a little bit of what is India today: what means reincarnation, marriage, parents, children, education, feeling to be Indian. We felt India is a subcontinent full of extreme contrasts; a country where high educated people are source of World Class High Tech and source of a cultural Heritage and on the other side a mass of more or less analphabets; a country where the very rich are living peacefully close to the very poor homeless (which is sometimes difficult to understand). On common point however: you can be Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Christian but for sure, if you're Indian, you're religious and spiritual.

So our trip was not only a touristic trip but the discovery of a new continent. We will come back!

The entire Enchanting-India team was superb and together made our trip truly wonderful - the knowledge, professionalism and friendliness of all the staff really did make a big difference to the experience. All parts of the itinerary were organized very well, yet we still had the flexibility to decide what we wanted to do at any time which was fantastic. I booked my 3 week tour of India via the Internet and found Enchanting-India very helpful in pre-planning the itinerary and handling all lodging and internal travel reservations. As an older woman travelling alone, my first priority was to ensure a safe, hassle-free tour of Northern India and I didn’t want to travel with a tour group and be herded from site to site. Through a series of e-mails back and forth, Enchanting-India customized my tour and attended to all details. Confirmations and a finalized tour plan were set before I left home.

Upon a middle of the night arrival from my international flight, an agent and driver met me in New Delhi and took me to my hotel. This was repeated in each of the cities I visited. All tourist site tickets were paid and a knowledgeable guide accompanied me to each of the sites. I travelled through the country via train, car and internal flights and stayed in a variety of lodgings varying from guest houses to 5 star hotels. Every few days a representative from Enchanting-India called to make sure I was satisfied and that everything was proceeding as planned. Amazingly to me, my entire trip was absolutely problem free! I highly recommend the services of Enchanting-India and would be happy to provide additional details of my experience.

We had a wonderful honeymoon in India with Enchanting-India! Everything was incredibly well organized so that we didn't have to worry about anything, yet it was also very personal and individualized and the level of service was outstanding. We were very happy having chosen Enchanting-India for the organization of our visit to India. Although we had no prior recommendation, and came across by chance to this Agency, we immediately had the impression that we were dealing with a highly professional staff. It took us about 3 months to finalize our program, and we received every possible assistance and advice to work out a program suitable for our needs and interests.
